From Disc Hernia, Bulging Discs, Sprain and Strain of Muscles and Ligaments to the Lumbar Spine. All may or may not cause Pain. Discs are not the only cause of Pain.

JOINT FACETS
are many times the real cause of Pain. Joint Facets encroach on the Nerve Roots coming out of the Spinal Canal through the Foramens (Hole) between the Vertebrae.
The Vertebrae, along with Ligaments outside and inside the Discs and Facet Joints, all make up a complex system and along with the muscles, attempt to work in coordination.

Any mishap in one of these areas will usually manifest itself into Pain and De-Compensation of the other parts in the system. Pain in this area is usually described by my patients as a sharp knife being poked in the described area, spreading to the back of their leg all the way down to their feet.

Lower Back Pain may or may not be accompanied by numbness and or the feeling of pins and needles (Parestaesias) in the legs and feet.
