Preservative ASTRAMORPH is a systemic narcotic analgesic for administration intravenous, epidural or intrathecal routes. It is used for the management of Pain not responsive to non-narcotic analgesics. Morphine Sulfate provides Pain relief for extended periods without the loss of motor, sensory or sympathetic functions. Respiratory Depression, Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, headaches, anxiety, depression, coughing.
Demerol
Meperidine Hydrochloride
Demerol is a white crystalline substance, also comes in syrup form. Primary usage is for relief of moderate to severe Pain. It has actions similar to Morphine but with a quicker onset and shorter duration of effectiveness. Lightheadedness, dizziness, sedation, nausea, vomiting, sweating, dry mouth and constipation.
Dilaudid Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Dilaudid is a hydrogenated ketone of morphine available in dose vials, suppositories or tablets. Primary usage is for moderate to severe Pain resulting from surgery, cancer, trauma etc. Sedation, drowsiness, mental clouding, lethargy, anxiety, fear, dizziness, nausea, constipation and vomiting.

Duragesic is indicated in the management of Chronic Pain in patients who require continuous opioid analgesia for Pain that cannot be managed by lesser Opioids. Abdominal Pain, headache, chest pains, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, anorexia speech disorder, sweating, itching etc. Though many of these side effects were reported by less than %1 of 510 cancer patients.
Levo-Dromoranlevorphanol tartrate Levo-Dromoran is a potent synthetic Opioid similar to morphine in its actions. Levo-Dromonan is indicated for the management of moderate to severe Pain. Abdominal Pain, dry mouth, sweating, constipation, nausea, vomiting etc.

Meperidine hydrochloride is a narcotic analgesic with multiple actions similar to those of Morphine. Primarily used when analgesia and sedation are indicated. Respiratory depression, dry mouth, constipation, weakness, headache, agitation, euphoria.
Methadone Hydrochloride Methadone Hydrochloride is a synthetic narcotic analgesic with multiple actions similar to those of Morphine, primarily which involve the central nervous system. The principle actions are analgesia, sedation and detoxification or temporary maintenance in narcotic addiction. (heroin) The major hazards of Methadone, like other narcotic Analgesics are respiratory depression. Frequent side effects include lightheadedness, dizziness, sedation, vomiting, nausea, constipation, dry mouth.
MS CONTIN
Morphine sulfate controlled release.
MS CONTIN is a controlled release tablet containing Morphine Sulfate. It is intended for patients who require more than several days continuous treatment with a potent opioid analgesic. Same as Morphine Sulfate Opioids. See Astramorph
Numorphan OXYIR OXYFAST Oxymorphone Hydrochloride Injection/Suppositories Numorphan is a potent Opioid analgesic. Its effects are rapid with a duration of 3 to 6 hours. It is primarily for moderate to severe Pain. (Injection form) Nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, cramps, respiratory depression, constipation others.
Oxycontin Oxycontin tablets are an Opioid analgesic supplied in 10mg, 20mg, 40mg or 80mg strengths. They are controlled-release formula indicated for moderate to severe Pain. Like other Opioids the chief side effect is possible respiratory depression, constipation, irritability, anxiety, nausea, anorexia, backache others.
